A DRINK FROM PARADISE


ORANGE SMOOTHY

(you get 1 l of juice)

v  half kohlrabi
v  2 medium apples
v  1 banana
v  1 big kiwi
v  1 big orange
v  2 medium carrots
v  1 and a half glass of water

Buy a bigger kohlarbi and cut in half. One half cut into smaller pieces and put into a blender along with two peeled and sliced apples (if the apples are homegrown just wash them but do not peel them). Add a kiwi, an orange, carrots and 1 and a half glass of water, or maybe less if you want your juice to be dense. Blend all the ingredients and drink immediately. If you can not drink it all put the rest away in the fridge but only for a couple of hours.

What do you get from this kind of a drink?

Kohlrabi is rich with iron and vitamin C. It has minimal calories while giving you the feeling of being full. It boosts the immune system, regulates metabolism, neutralizes bad effects of free radicals, lowers cholesterol.

Carrot is rich in beta-carotene and besides being good for eyesight it is also useful for detoxification of the body because it contains large amounts of fiber and vitamin A.

Fresh apples, taken on an empty stomach, allow the body to quickly absorb nutritive and healing ingredients from them. An apple is an integral part of varous diets for weight loss. Being rich with pectin, it creates the feeling of fullness. Fructose satisfies the desire for sweets and at the same time it does not lead to the increase in sugar, glucose, in blood, nor the increase of the hormone insulin which turns sugar into fat. Recent research shows that tannic acid in apples prevents deposition of fat in the liver.

Orange contains plenty of vitamin C, B, provitamin A and vitamin E. One of the most important minerals contained in oranges are calcium and magnesium, potassium and phosphorus, but it also contains vitamin C.

Kiwi is rich in fiber, vitamins C and E, potassium. It contains a considerable amount of magnesium, a mineral important for cardiovascular system. It is a rich source of antioxidants because it contains carotenoids, lutein, flavonoids and chlorophyll.


Bananas are a good source of fiber, potassium, vitamin C, carbohydrates, B group vitamins, vitamin E, magnesium, iron, calcium, copper.

VITAMINSKI KAŠASTI SOK

v  1 i po čaša vode


Kupiti veću glavicu kelerabe i iseći na pola. Jednu polovinu iseći na komade i staviti u blender zajedno sa oljuštenim jabukama (ukoliko su domaće oprati ih i ne ljuštiti), takođe isečene na komade. Dodati kivi, pomorandžu, šargarepu i 1 i po čašu vode, može i manje ako želite da vam sok bude gušći. Izblendirati i popiti odmah. Ukoliko ne možete popiti odmah odložiti ostatak u frižider i piti u toku dana, ne bi trebalo da stoji duže od par sati.

Šta dobijate od ovakvog napitka?

Keleraba je rudnik gvožđa i vitamina C. Ona ima minimalno kalorija, a daje osećaj sitosti, jača imunitet, reguliše metabolizam, neutrališe dejstvo slobodnih radikala, snižava holesterol.

Šargarepa je bogata beta-karotenom, a osim za vid odlična je i za detoksikaciju organizma jer sadrži velike količine vlakana i vitamina A.

Sveža jabuka, uzeta na prazan stomak, omogućava organizmu da brzo upije iz nje hranljive i lekovite sastojke. Jabuka je sastavni deo raznih dijeta za mršavljenje. Zahvaljujući sadržaju netopljivih vlakana – pektina, koja bubre u kontaktu sa vodom i tako rastežu creva, jabuka stvara osećaj sitosti. Prosti šećer fruktoza zadovoljava želju za slatkim, a pri tome ne dovodi do većeg porasta šećera, glukoze, u krvi, niti značajnije stvaranje hormona insulina, koji bi šećer pretvarao u masno tkivo. Novija istraživanja pokazuju da taninska kiselina jabuke onemogućava taloženje masti u jetri.

Pomorandža sadrži obilje vitamina C, B, provitamin A, kao i vitamin E. Od minerala posebnu važnost ima kalcijum ali i magnezijum, kalijum i fosfor i vitamin C.

Kivi je bogat vlaknima, vitaminima C i E, kalijumom. Sadrži znatnu količinu magnezijuma, minerala važnog za rad kardiovaskularnog sistema. Bogat je izvor antioksidanasa jer sadrži karotenoide, lutein, flavonoide i hlorofil.

Banane su dobar izvor vlakana, kalijuma, vitamina C, ugljenih hidrata, vitamina grupe B, vitamina E, magnezijuma, gvožđa, kalcijuma, bakra.

STEAK STROGANOV


Ingredients:

v  2 onions
v  500 g fillet of beef
v  1 tablespoon flour
v  250 g tomato sauce
v  salt
v  pepper
v  1 teaspoon mustard
v  2 tablespoons sour cream

Preparation:

Finely chop the onion and fry it in a pan until it becomes glassy. Cut the fillet of beef into thin sticks (or cubes) 2 cm in length. Add the beef into the pan and fry it briefly. Pour some water in the pan and stew until the meat is soft, add some water from time to time to prevent the meat from burning. Once the meat is done sprinkle a tablespoon of flour and stir quickly. Add immediately the tomato sauce,salt and pepper. Stew it for another 10 minutes, then add a teaspoon of mustard and 2 tablespoons of sour cream. Turn off the stove and stir for another 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and serve hot with mashed potatoes. 

BIFTEK STROGANOV


Sadržaj:

v  2 glavice crnog luka
v  500 gr junećeg buta
v  1 kašika brašna
v  1 i po šolja pasiranog paradajza
v  vegeta
v  biber
v  1 kašičica senfa
v  2 kašike pavlake


Priprema:

Sitno iseckati crni luk i upržiti da dobije staklast sjaj. Juneći but iseći na tanke štapiće (ili kockice) dužine 2 cm. Dodati uprženom luku i zajedno propržiti kratko. Dodati vodu i dinstati dok meso ne omekša. Nakon što je meso gotovo posuti jednom kašikom brašna i brzo promešat. Odmah dodati pasirani paradajz, so, biber i vegetu. Dinstati još 10ak minuta, pa dodati kašičicu senfa i 2 kašike pavlake. Isključiti ringlu i mešati još 5 minuta. Skloniti sa vatre i služiti toplo uz krompir pire.

CHERRY PIE



Ingredients:

v  500 g ready-made piecrust
v  500 g cherries
v  1 egg
v  1 cup semolina
v  1 cup oil
v  1 cup yogurt
v  2 cups sugar
v  1 teaspoon baking powder
v  1 teaspoon vanilla sugar

v  100 g chocolate


Preparation:

In a large bowl, combine semolina, oil, yogurt, sugar, egg, vanilla sugar and baking powder. Divide ready-made piecrust so that you have 4 crusts for each cherry roll.
Prepare them in the following way:
Spread the filling on the first crust, then put another crust over it and spread the filling on the second crust, too. Now, cover the second crust with cherries and continue with the third crust which you put over the cherries, spread the filling over it, too. At the end finish with the fourth crust on which you should also spread the filling. After you have finished roll the crusts together and make a roll out of them. Do the same with all the crusts making sure that each roll has four crusts.
Line the rolls one next to another into a baking pan previously greased. Sprinkle some oil over them and coat them with the filling if any was left. Put the baking pan into previously heated oven at 180 degrees Celsius and bake until the crusts become brown.
After you have taken them out of the oven, let them cool completely. Then, cut the rolls into cubes and pour hot chocolate over them.
P.S. If you don`t cut the rolls into cubes and if you pour chocolate over hot rolls, chocolate topping may crack. 

ROLAT SA VIŠNJAMA


Sastojci:

v  500 gr gotovih kora za pitu
v  500 gr višanja
v  1 jaje
v  1 šolja griza
v  1 šolja ulja
v  1 šolja jogurta
v  2 šolje šećera
v  1 prašak za pecivo
v  1 kesica vanilin šećera
v  100 gr čokolade


Priprema:

U većoj činiji sjediniti griz, ulje, jogurt, šećer, jaje, vanilin šećer i prašak za pecivo. Odvojiti kore, 4 kore za svaki rolat. Filovati na sledeći način:
Najpre jednu koru premazati filom, zatim preko nje staviti drugu koru i nju premazati filom. Na drugu koru poređati višnje pa preko nje treću koru koju opet premažemo filom. Na kraju staviti preko i četvrtu koru i premazati filom. Uviti kore u rolat i na taj način napraviti rolate od svih kora. Rolate staviti u prethodno podmazan pleh, preliti ih uljem i smesom kojom smo premazivali kore, ako je ostalo od te smese. Peći u zagrejanoj rerni na 180 stepeni C.
Ispečene rolate ostaviti da se potpuno ohlade, iseći na kockice i tek onda preliti toplom čokoladom. Ako se prelije vruć rolat čokoladom pre sečenja onda će preliv od čokolade ispucati.
